The Stelvio National Park

The Stelvio National Park is Italy's biggest nature park and one of the most extended ones in the Alps. To Areas in Trentino and South Tyrol, as well as 24 cities and villages make part of the Nature Park.

strino-val-di-soleThe Valle di Pejo Valley and the Val di Rabbi Valley in Trentino make part of the National Park. Unlike many other Nature Parks not only the nature by itself, but also villages, farms and mountain pastures are protected. The general idea of the Stelvio National Park is the respectful encounter and cooperation of man and nature.

The nature park is living space to deer, ibex, marmots and eagles as well as gentian, edelweiss and many other protected plants. An excursion into the national park's world of variety is a real adventure!

Isolated landscapes with only very few shelters are framed by impressing mountains up to a height of 4,000 m. You also find lovely mountain pastures and ancient mountain farms worthy of protection. And, last but not least,  in the valley many fields, orchards and traditional villages.

The Stelvio National Park in the Dolomites is an absolute paradise for nature-lovers!
