The culinary event between 1st April and 31st May 2014 in Conco on the plateau of Asiago you should not miss. The main role plays one of the first signs of springtime: the dandelion!
This year the event takes place for the 9th time and the restaurants in Conco and surroundings will offer delicious and traditional dishes from the region like every year. The Italian name of this special event is A tavola con il Tarassaco di Conco.
During these two months you can enjoy in the restaurants various dishes prepared with dandelion like soups, risottos, sweets, starters, cakes, fritters, cookies, special pancakes and much more. Here will find everybody a favourite meal.
The use of wild herbs has a long tradition in the cuisine of Asiago. The tasty natural products are perfect to improve and season dishes, but also to prepare liquors. 
The dandelion is not just a tasty ingredient of typical springtime meals, but has also a purifying and detoxifying effect. One of the characteristics of the healthy plant is its light bitter taste, which cooks and gourmets love equally.
