Without exaggerating we can say that Prags, in South Tyrol, is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Looking at the surrounding majestic Dolomites and the breathtaking landscape you will forget about your daily life's worries and stress!
Prags Lake is one of the deepest and coldest lakes in the whole Alpine area. Only the bravest swim in it. If you don't make part of them you needn't worry! Boat trips or long walks along its shore are just as beautiful and certainly less cold and dangerous!
Around the lake there is a lot to discover for you: from hiking or cross-country skiing, over traditional huts, shelters and lawns to many other romantic corners.
Prags Lake, in Hochpustertal Valley, makes part of the nature park "Fanes-Sennes-Braies". The park is also known as the kingdom of marmots. Nowhere else in the Dolomites you can more of these rulers or observe them better.
Another attraction of Prags is Plätzwiese. In summer it's a unique excursion destination and departure point for many walks. In winter it's a paradise for skiing and sledding.
