Innichen is located at the feet of Haunold mountain in Hochpustertal Valley. Its history is very interesting to study, like the zone was once was inhabited by the Romans.
In Innichen you can find a huge number of hotels and other accommodations for your winter as well as for your summer holidays. In the center of the city you will be charmed by the unique architecture, the numerous shops and bars and, especially, the three absolute beautiful churches. The smallest one makes still part of the convent of the Franciscans. The two others are baroque churches dedicated to St. Michael. The symbol of Innichen is the Collegiate Church, also called the Cathedral of Innichen.
Close to Innichen, you have the beautiful skiing area of Hounold. Enjoy the winter sun on its perfect slopes or cross country runs along the valley.
