Hiking in Gröden - Excursion to the Puez-Hütte Refuge

Only on an altitude of about 2,000 m above sea level you'll see the most fascinating site of Gröden. Believe us.

Dip into the world of white Dolomites-mountains and gorgeous blooming mountain pastures hiking the trail from Wolkenstein to Grödner Joch Pass and to Puez-Hütte Refuge and back to Wolkeinstein.

How to get there

The 3 hours long excursion begins in Wolkenstein in Gröden. Take there the cable car Dantercèpies to get to the Grödnerjoch Pass. Hike along the feet of Cirspitzen-mountains to path 2 and follow it in steep hairpin-bends to Cirjoch Pass at 2,465 m above sea level.

Arrived up there, following always path 2, you come into the Chedùltal Valley and then to Crespèinajoch Pass (2,531 m) and to the Ciampacjoch Pass. Here you have to change path taking the path 4. After 1 hour of hiking in marvelous landscapes you will reach the Puez-Hütte Refuge, where regional food and a cool drink are waiting for you.
To get back, take path 2/16 into the Langgental Valley and to Wolkenstein. For return to to your starting point you will need about 3 hours.
