Civetta - Holiday for alpinists and mountaineers
Civetta is a mountain massif in the Dolomites, between the
Val Zoldana valley and the Val Corevole valley in the province
Belluno. The most famous location is Alleghe, which is situated at
the food of this beautiful scenery.
The 3220 m high Civetta is a great district for
mountaineers and hikers. On plenty routes, in diverse ways and with
different level of difficulty you can conquest the Civetta. The
legend route is the vertical wall, insider call it "the wall of the
walls" - the north-west line of the Civetta. For example: the
Solleder Lettembauer Route, the Philip Flamm Route or the way of
the 5 Valmadrera. All of them are very difficult and only provided
for very good alpinists.
If you prefer easy paths you can find more than enough in the
surroundings of the Civetta area. A comfortable way to reach
are the cable cars; they bring you right on the top of the
highland wherefrom you can hike from hut to hut, without a steep
rise. When you are on the top, please enjoy the panoramic few, the
seldom eagles, the jumping chamois's, the whistling marmot's or the
squirrel's, when they went by right in front of you.
In the winter, when the nature seems sleeping,
is also a lot to explore. The skiing area between Mount
Pelmo and Civetta belong to the most imposingly in the
Dolomites and is part of the ski circus DolomitiSuperSki.
