Molveno is located in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, at 864 m above sea level.
Together with Andalo and Fai della Paganella the village is one of the most popular tourist areas right at the feet of the Gruppo del Brenta group.
Molveno's main feature is its lake. It is Trentino's deepest natural lake and it was formed thousands of years ago due to a landslide. Due to that the lake has a very species-rich fish fauna.
The Natural Park Adamello Brenta offers unspoilt nature and a beautiful landscape. The village is surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites which peaks tower into the sky like skyscrapers, some of them more than 3,000 m high. The mountains have a lot of hiking routes and paths to offer.
On the shores of Molveno Lake you can relax, try out different kinds of water sports or just recharge your batteries.
In addition to the comfortable hotels and apartments, a modern camping which can accommodate up to 800 people is close to the lake.
