The Lago di Molveno Lake is situated in the middle of the Brenta Dolomites. On its shore lies the homonymous city. When you first see it, you might think the lake is magical. It changes colour several times a day.
On the way ...The excursion to the "Via delle Bocchette" Trail offers marvelous views over the lake and the surrounding mountains. The trail begins at the "Bocca di Brenta". Following the path 318 you get to the refuge "Tommaso Pedrotti", to the Bocca di Tuckett and finally on the path 303 to the Reguge Tuckett at 2,272 m above sea level. The excursion is pretty long and you need to be in good physical condition for it.
Easier and less demanding are the walks to the peak of Mount Madonnina and to the Refuge Baia Ciclamino. To be recommended is also the excursion to the Ponte Romane and to the ruins of "Fortini di Napoleone". From here you have a great view over the Lago di Molveno Lake.
