The Brenta Dolomites
The Brenta Dolomites mountain range is the only
dolomites group west of the river Adige. It extends on a length of
40 km. The mountain range covers an area of 560 sq. km and is
bounded by Molveno
Lake, Giudicarie Valley, Val Rendena, Passo Campo Carlo Magno,
Meledrio and Val di Sole.
The Brenta Dolomites make part of the
Adamello Brenta Nature Park and some of their
peaks exceed a height of 3,000: Cima Tosa, Cima Brenta, Brenta
Crozzon, Ambiez Cima, Cima Mandron and Torre di Brenta. But already
the peaks with a height of 2,000m offer you breathtaking views and
numerous hiking trails and skiing
slopes.
Very beautiful and also to be recommended are the lakes of the
area. First of all Molveno, followed by Tovel
Lake, once famous for the red color of its water and many
others like Valagola lake, Durigal Lake, Salt Lake, etc..
The main cities in the area are San Lorenzo in Banale, Stenico, Pinzolo, Madonna di
Campiglio, Andalo, Molveno and the area around the Paganella.
For over a century, the Brenta Dolomites have been a
popular destination for climbers and hikers from all over

holidays in the mountains.
