Bassano Del Grappa: the kingdom of grappa

Bassano del Grappa is rich in natural and artistic miracles. In the centre of the city we find the Piazza Garibaldi square. From here you can admire the Torre Civica (42 m) and the church of San Francesco.

The ancient convent of S. Francesco nowadays houses a museum and a library. It is truly worth visiting. The museum is open every day, except Monday.

Bassano del Grappa has been famous for its ceramics since the Middle Ages. They were exported to countries far beyond the borders of Italy. The "Museo delle Ceramiche" museum of the Palazzo Sturm shows you everything about ceramics and its history.

The true symbol of the city, however, is the "Ponte Vecchio" bridge. The bridge is also known as "Ponte degli Alpini" bridge. It has this name because of the "Museo degli Alpini" museum which is nearby.

If you want to discover the surrounding nature and Dolomites' peaks there is a huge network of trails with varying difficulties at your disposal. All of them are just waiting for you to be explored!
