Asiago - cheese from Veneto

In the Altopiano of Asiago, Bavarian and Tyrolean farmers have produced the Asiago cheese since the Middle Ages. This cheese is produced with goat milk.

The Asiago cheese is recognized by the European Union. Thanks to 25 years of activity of the Consorzio di Tutela del Formaggio Asiago for quality improvement and promotion of the product it is know by 95% of the Italians.

The Asiago cheese has a pleasantly sweet taste. The ideal snack in Veneto is a slice of cheese with white bread! Asiago is excellent to be accompanied by white wines. Also those are produced in Veneto.
